KITEPASS

During the summer, kitesurfing is prohibited along the entire Catalan coast. As an exception, there are some special spots that have a channel and space on the beach where it is possible to practise this sport. In Estartit there is an area reserved for kitesurfing. This area is managed by the Eolis Kite club. In order to be able to kite in the canal you need to hire a Kite Pass. This includes the rescue service and water to desalinate your equipment. It is very important to use only the channel and not to invade the bathers' area, as well as to respect the rules to facilitate the coexistence among all.

KITEPASSFORM

All users must have a Kitesurfing insurance and have contracted the Kite Pass. It is also necessary to be registered to be able to kitesurf in the Kitesurf Zone of Estartit. Here you can find the registration form.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The kitesurfing area is managed by a sports club affiliated to the Catalan Sailing Federation, you must be registered with the club to use the channel and our services. The inscriptions, which are required by the Administrations, allow us to have a better control of the area and the users, and thus to provide better security.
The Kitepass includes: - The beach area for the assembly, take-off and landing of the kite. - An entrance and exit channel exclusively for kitesurfing (in summer kitesurfing is prohibited along the entire Catalan coast, these special channels for kitesurfing activities such as the one in Estartit are exempt). - Rescue service. - Water to desalinate the material.
